Children’s Dentistry
Preventive and Diagnostic
A comprehensive oral evaluation is recommended every six (6) months to prevent cavities and other dental problems. During a comprehensive oral evaluation, we will perform a thorough examination of the mouth, head, and neck to prevent cavities and to detect future potential dental concerns.
Restorative
If your child is in need of a crown to protect a primary (baby) tooth, we typically recommend stainless steel crowns. For front primary teeth, we may recommend tooth colored metal crown that is covered in porcelain or resin so that it blends with your child’s natural teeth. Pediatric dental crowns are prefabricated, come in a variety of sizes and are usually inserted immediately. When the baby tooth is ready to fall out, the crown will naturally come out with the tooth.
